The Jerry Brown Arts Festival is March 6 & 7th in Hamilton, Al at the former TG&Y building next door to the Dixie Cinema. We will be participating in as well as working at this festival. We will be displaying handmade quilts as well as demonstrating quilting.
The 2nd Annual Quilt Show will be held at the Car Nut Museum the 2nd weekend of April. It will be held April 9th, 10th and 11th from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 12 to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $3.00 and there will be peoples choice awards. First place is $150.00, 2nd place is $100.00 and third place is $50.00. Entry fee for the quilts is $5.00 for the first quilt and $2.50 for each additional quilt up to 5 total. BAKE SALE!!
Members and volunteers for The Car Nut Museum will conduct a bake sale on Monday, Nov 23rd and Tuesday, Nov 24!
The hours are 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. both days. There will be a large selection of unique baked goods along with traditional delicious items just in time for Thanksgiving!
As in years past, items sell out fast so be sure to shop early for the best selection.
Anyone wishing to donate bake goods should contact Jackie Hickman at the Museum. The number is 487-4833.
All proceeds go to support the Museum.
The Museum and Gift Shop is open 7 days a week during Nov and Dec and has a large inventory of quilting fabrics and supplies. The Museum Quilters Guild meets on Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. For more information, contact Linda Addison at 205-495-8604.
